Firm introduces car app to track breakdowns

FineMech Nigeria Limited has launched an app to track vehicle breakdowns and help with the sourcing of spare parts.

According to the firm, the app would also link car owners to auto-mechanics close to where their car is having issues.

A statement by the firm read, “The Managing Director, FineMech Nigeria Limited, Mr Dipo Akinfaye, said the mechanics have good diagnostic skills, all-round field knowledge, strong communications skill, good customer service skills, good work ethic and efficient and time-conscious solution to vehicle problems.

“Bad roads, a long-time common sight in Nigeria, cause serious damage to vehicles especially the shocks, engine, and other components which can get broken, and due to the ignorance of owners and many drivers who lack technical idea culminate in huge loss of lives, cash and quality time.”

According to him, when a car developed a problem, the owner would log into the app and locate the nearest automobile technician in any part of the country who would provide professional and highly rated service, and where necessary will contact verified parts dealer for quality parts.”
