PalmPay onboards 1.1million businesses in four years

Financial technology firm, PalmPay, says it has onboarded 1.1 million businesses and has over 600,000 merchants and 500,000 agents in its four years of operating in Nigeria.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday, on the event to mark the fourth anniversary of the firm’s operation in Nigeria.

During the anniversary event, the Managing Director of PalmPay Nigeria, Chika Nwosu, said, “We have served more than 100 million people during the past four years with our app and business network in Nigeria. Over 40 million people use our platform for transactions each month. We aim to bridge the gap in financial inclusion by providing accessible and affordable financial services to the unbanked and underbanked population.”

At the event, PalmPay said its targets were to serve over 10 million businesses with secure, user-friendly and inclusive financial service.

Nwosu assured that PalmPay was committed to delivering excellent customer service, addressing queries, and ensuring a seamless user experience with its 36 offices across Nigeria.

He said, “Community engagement and support is key to us because it drives financial literacy and empowerment.
