How we reviewed this phone: WebBuild Tech has not tested the Tecno Pova 8 ourselves. This review brings together the published specifications and the findings of GSMArena’s full hands-on review, which included lab tests of the battery, display and cameras. Opinions below are attributed to that testing. Prices and availability in Nigeria vary, so check with authorised retailers.
The Tecno Pova 8, released on 1 July 2026, is built around a huge 8,000mAh battery. It has a 6.76-inch 144Hz IPS LCD screen, MediaTek’s Dimensity 7100 chip, 45W charging, IP64 splash resistance and a small “Alive Matrix” display on the back.
GSMArena’s spec sheet lists the price at about €270.
Quick verdict
GSMArena calls the Pova 8 “a bit of a mixed bag”. It has personality, excellent battery life, dependable performance, a generous box and surprisingly good main and selfie cameras. But the LCD panel smears noticeably when scrolling, there is no ultrawide and charging is slower than advertised, while rivals offer AMOLED screens and faster chips at similar prices.
