How we reviewed this phone: WebBuild Tech has not tested the Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro ourselves. This review brings together the published specifications and the findings of GSMArena’s full hands-on review, which included lab tests of the battery, display and cameras. Opinions below are attributed to that testing. Prices and availability in Nigeria vary, so check with authorised retailers.
The Poco X8 Pro, released on 17 March 2026, is a mid-range phone with high-end ambitions. It uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip, a 6.59-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen, a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery and 100W wired charging (full in 48 minutes), and is rated IP68/IP69K in some markets.
Quick verdict
GSMArena calls the Poco X8 Pro “the epitome of a flagship killer” and “probably our easiest recommendation for 2026 so far”, saying there is no better phone at the same price. The only real miss is the lack of a zoom camera.
