Samsung Galaxy A37 review: easy to like, harder to recommend

The Galaxy A37 has a bright AMOLED screen, IP68 build, stereo speakers and six OS updates, but its chip is slow for the price and charging is average.

Samsung Galaxy A37 review: easy to like, harder to recommend

How we reviewed this phone: WebBuild Tech has not tested the Samsung Galaxy A37 ourselves. This review brings together the published specifications and the findings of GSMArena’s full hands-on review, which included lab tests of the battery, display and cameras. Opinions below are attributed to that testing. Prices and availability in Nigeria vary, so check with authorised retailers.

The Galaxy A37 went on sale on 9 April 2026 alongside the Galaxy A57. It has a 6.7-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED screen, Samsung’s Exynos 1480 chip, a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired charging, Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection and an IP68 rating.

Quick verdict

GSMArena calls it “a very easy phone to like, but a much harder one to wholeheartedly recommend”. It covers the basics well, with a great screen, proper water resistance, dependable battery life and class-leading software support, but it feels like a refinement rather than an upgrade, and the Galaxy A56 offers better performance for less.

Buying tips for Nigeria

  • Buy from an authorised dealer or the brand’s official store so you get a valid local warranty.
  • Dial *#06# and make sure the IMEI matches the box. See our guide on how to check a phone is original.
  • Imported units may not support every Nigerian network band or come with warranty support here, so confirm before paying.
