How we reviewed this phone: WebBuild Tech has not tested the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 ourselves. This review brings together the published specifications and the findings of GSMArena’s full hands-on review, which included lab tests of the battery, display and cameras. Opinions below are attributed to that testing. Prices and availability in Nigeria vary, so check with authorised retailers.
The Galaxy Z Flip8 is Samsung’s latest clamshell foldable, released on 22 July 2026. It has a 6.9-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED inner screen, IP48 protection and weighs 180g. Outside the US, Canada and China it uses Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chip.
GSMArena notes it has recently dropped to under €900 in Europe.
Quick verdict
GSMArena liked the Z Flip8, calling it a premium foldable with a comfortable grip and satisfying feel, great screens, a refined hinge and solid battery life. The camera hardware is largely unchanged and heavy throttling limits performance, but at its reduced price it is “definitely worth considering”.

Specifications from GSMArena’s Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 spec sheet. Some features vary by market.
What reviewers liked
- Compact and lightweight, with IP48 and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 cover panels
- Bright displays with HDR support
- Improved hinge
- Great battery life
- Dependable cameras
- Powerful hardware
What could be better
- Barely any major upgrades compared with the Z Flip7
- Heavy thermal throttling stops the chip performing at its best
- Low-light photos and video stabilisation still need work
- Slow 25W wired charging
Cameras
Image quality remains decent but not impressive. The reviewers said low-light performance and video stabilisation have shown obvious room for improvement for a couple of generations.
Alternatives to consider
GSMArena compares it with the Galaxy Z Flip7 and the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra.
Who should buy it
A good pick for anyone who wants a stylish, pocketable flip phone with long software support (seven Android upgrades). Heavy gamers should look at a conventional flagship instead.
